Lise Merchant
Lise Merchant was born in the province of Quebec, Canada, and moved to the Yukon in 1981. An accomplished stained glass artist, Lise has many large commissioned works in government buildings and churches as well as private collections throughout Canada, the United States, and Europe.
The idea of blending her earlier love of sewing with her stained glass designs took shape when she mentioned the idea to a friend and quilt shop owner. She discovered that the two passions blend and complement each other very well. Quilting occupies most of Lise's time now. Lise lives in Whitehorse, Yukon, with her husband, Philip, and their children.
