The Giving Quilt Pattern by Bonnie K. Browning
Giving Quilt Challenge
Quilted In Honor (QIH), led by Island Batik, is an initiative for Operation Homefront, one of the top military fundraising organizations, and is intended to harness the collective power of the quilting industry to give back to those that need it most.
One project in support of Operation Homefront is the Giving Quilt Challenge. Each year Operation Homefront uses hundreds of Giving Quilts at holiday time to assist military families. The quilts are given to groups and corporations to fill with gift cards and money. The American Quilter’s Society is hosting the entries for the Giving Quilt Challenge and is providing a free pattern for you to use to participate in this challenge. More than $15,000 in prizes is available to winners in this challenge. Enter your quilt today.
Hurry, the deadline is March 28, 2014.
