    Description

Nothing complements a beautiful quilt like a sweet treat! Ann Hazelwood has perfected the art of capturing the essence of a quilting (or any other!) topic in 100 bits of information. She's done it again with 100 Sweet Treats by & for Quilters. Ann canvassed some of the most creative quilters working today for a short, sweet recipe to share. And, she collected images of some of their finest quilts. Sweet treats, indeed! This little gem of a book is ideal for gift baskets, prizes, and for bundling into an enchanting gift set with Ann's two previous offerings: 100 Things You Need to Know If You Own a Quilt: A Quilt Owner's Manual and 100 Tips from Award Winning Quilters.

Quilters and desserts just seem to go together, and nowhere better than in this great little gift book from AQS. Ann Hazelwood shares recipes from quilters across the country--100 in all--guaranteed to tempt your taste buds! The icing on the cake, so to speak, are the quilt photos scattered throughout, making this book packed with both edible and visual treats.

    Great gift for a friend...or yourself! - 06/08/2010
Reviewer: Morna McEver Golletz from USA

What quilter isn’t also a foodie? I’ll admit that the reason I joined the particular guild that I did is because they served lunch! This little book features 100 recipes from a variety of quilts, and the book is filled with photos and detail shots of quilts. Now, which recipe to try first, the orange marmalade oatmeal cookies, pecan pie bars or chocolate decadence brownies? This would make a nice gift for your quilt friends. Be sure to get one for yourself, too. --Morna McEver Golletz, “The Professional Quilter,” Spring 2010, page 26.

The perfect gift for a fellow quilter - 04/12/2010

If you cannot make award winning quilts like some of the contributors to this book, at least you can cook like them. Many familiar names present recipes for sweets you'll remember. A great gift for the quilter who has everything.

    100 Sweet Treats by & for Quilters - 04/07/2010

Edible and visual treats all in one book! What a pleasure to see the wonderful quilts interspersed with some deliciously tempting recipes---from breads to pies to cold desserts. My life is all about simplicity these days, so I was happy to see some simple and easy to make recipes. I've already tried the "Kool Dessert," which only requires 4 ingredients, and the "Banana Split Cake," that was even better than I expected!
