    This book is for the star struck quilter. FAMOUS male quilters and their FAMOUS quilts are included. The stories from the quilters about how they came to do what they do or how they were discovered, etc. are things we would all ask them ourselves, if we could. Many of the quilts pictured are legend. It is a great read topped off with project tips from some award winning quilters.

    Men have been quilting for years, and it's nice to finally see a collection of their work. I love the format of this book. For each man, there are photos of their quilts, a bit of biographical information, and special topics (though the topics may be a different focus for each man) that range from when they started quilting to how rewarding it is for them. I loved reading the stories. For instance, John Flynn started out trying to make the perfect quilt frame for his wife and to test it, he started hand quilting...and got hooked! Raymond Houston started sewing on a dare from a girl in his high school who used to brag that her mother made all her "cute little clothes." Don Linn's wife "dragged" him to a quilt show, where he went just to pacify her. He saw a lady quilting on a longarm and was fascinated. One month later he had one. So go ahead and buy this book; you'll love it as much as I do. I promise!
