AQ Magazine: Staff Biographies
Marje Rhine, Pattern Editor
Marje made her first quilt in 1969 (she was very young!) and has been hooked ever since. She quilted all through her career as a mainframe systems programmer and IT manager. In 2000, Marje left her IT position at NIKE to concentrate on a career as a teacher, longarm quilter, and owner of a pattern business, Quilt Design Northwest. She is the author of Painless Paper Piecing, and most recently her quilt CARLEY was a finalist in the 2007 "Do You EQ?" contest. Marje enjoys sports, reading, and spending time with her husband, Randy, and their dogs at home in Damascus, Oregon.
