5th annual quilt show features approximately 100 quilts, all current works of the Shady Ladies Workshop of Haywood County, NC. This year's challenge quilts, "Playing the Numbers" will also be on display. Quilt boutique and dining facilities available. Show is located in the beautiful rural setting of the Lake Logan Episcopal Center near the Blue Ridge Parkway.

Sign up online now, or in person when you visit the store! At registration you will receive a passport with holder, a booklet with information about each shop and a tote bag. As you travel to each of the shops during this adventure you will have your passport stamped, be entered into the shop's daily prize drawings, enjoy refreshments and receive instructions, a step a shop, for making the Quilters' Quest Shop Hop Quilt. Shelburne Museum in Shelburne, Vermont presents Quilts in Bloom: A Bouquet of Textile Art –a dazzling display of flower quilts that includes award winning contemporary works along with works from the museum’s world-renowned collection. For Quilts in Bloom senior curator Jean Burks has selected a brilliantly colorful array of more than a dozen finely-crafted works. Most are focused on a single flower. Rebecca's Reel Quilters Guild will hold its biennial quilt show in beautiful and historic Poricy Park. The Park's four buildings, including an 18th century farmhouse and barn, will be used to display traditional and contemporary quilts. There will be vendors, a raffle quilt, door prizes and Cafe for lunch and refreshments. Ample parking, buses welcome, no strollers inside the buildings.

With approximately 200 members, the Miami Valley Quilters' Guild presents member works in its biennial show. There are contemporary and art quilts, three-dimensional and wearable quilts. We have guest artists, classess, boutique, and vendors galore.

Nothing tops the good old-fashion summer fun to be found at the Kutztown Folk Festival. This family-oriented festival celebrates Pennsylvania Dutch folklife and attracted 135,000 visitors in 2007. Now in its 59th year, it is the oldest, continuing folklife festival in America. Included in the nine day festival are folk art and crafts by 200 juried Pennsylvania German and early American craftsmen, a huge exhibition and sale of nearly 2,500 beautiful, hand-made Pennsylvania Dutch quilts, folklore programs that highlight the traditions of the Pennsylvania Germans, historical reenactments, antiques and collectibles, music, dancing and entertainment running continuously on six stages, an expanded program of children's activities and the best Pennsylvania Dutch food anywhere.

2008 is the 25th anniversary of the Boise Basin Quilters' Guild so our quilt show "Pieces of Life - 25 Years" will be extra special. The show previously held at Topeka United Methodist Church in Topeka, Indiana is moving to Eden Worship Center in Honeyville. The Topeka Quilt Show began in Honeyville 34 years ago. The American Crafts Festival at Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts has demonstrated that it is the premier show in New York City, one of America's most hospitable craft markets. This year we are again expecting an attendance of 150,000 visitors. The festival includes limited entertainment, craft demonstrations, and natural, ethnic and dessert food concessions.

In addition to king, queen, full size, baby quilts and wallhangings, we have group challenges, a Chinese auction, vendors and demonstrations. Food court is available. Over 800 quilts hung, more than 60 vendors plus Ongoing Demos Charity Quilt Making, Exhibit by fiber artist. Linda McCuean MQA certified judge will be available to judge entries in the judged quilt portion. Linda will also be teaching. Check the website for class information. This year's festival is scheduled for June 20, 21 & 22, 2008 and features classes and a merchants' mall in addition to a stunning collection of quilts, wearables, and fiber art in the Blue Ridge Mountains. The Blue Ridge Quilt Festival is the host of two traveling quilt exhibits: “Pilgrim/Roy Collection” and “The Healing Garden Quilts” and is proudly announcing the feature artist: Nell Townley–an award winning hand quilter. We have arranged 11 workshops with instructors: Linda Fiedler, Susan Brittingham, Lyric Kinaird, Paula Golden, Pat Childress and Kathy Sevebeck.

American Tapestry Biennial 7 features approximately forty tapestries selected from several hundred international entries. Opening to coincide with "Convergence 2008" the biennial conference of the Hand Weavers Guild of America this show will exhibit a cohesive, world class exhibition of contemporary tapestry. Firehouse Quilts is a non-profit group of volunteers that make and donate snuggle & twin size quilts to local fire departments, hospitals, victim advocate offices and Battered Women's Shelters to be given to children in time of crisis. This is our only fundraising event.

Camp Watch-A-Patcher is a four day camp with national (Phil Beaver, Gwen Marston, Freddie Moran) and local (Lyn Mann, Juanita Swarts, Lyn Brown) teachers offering classes. Come and stay in university dorms, eat in a great cafeteria and learn lots about quilting!

American Tapestry Biennial 7 features approximately forty tapestries selected from several hundred international entries. Add the original personality of Kaye England, noted Indianapolis-area quilting expert to the chemistry of the Grouseland Foundation’s third annual quilt show, and it becomes a must-see. The show is scheduled for October 12 and 13, 2008 from 9 am to 4 pm at Vincennes University’s Green Activities Center. You should consider entering your favorite quilt. Other demonstrations by area authorities, many on quilting techniques and other textile methods, will be presented both days. Some antiques will be featured as well.

October 11, Weavings & Diversities Show and Sale of Weavers’ Guild south has a large array of woven garments and artwork as well as felt items, jewelry, knitting, basketry, and other textile arts. Demonstrations of weaving and spinning will be given throughout the day. Free admission and parking, wheelchair accessible. Hours: 10 am to 5 pm. The Weavers’ Guild South welcomes men and women of various levels of weaving interests and skills. Its purpose is to create a supportive environment to nurture creativity and individuality. Mixed Sampler Quilt Guild is hosting their 20th annual quilt show October 11 & 12, 2008 at the Siren High School, Siren, WI. This year’s theme is Autumn Splendor. Each quilt depicts the love and loss of those affected by Alzheimer’s disease.

The theme for this year’s show is “Quilts from the Heartland” recognizing that heart disease is the number one killer of women in the United States. To raise awareness for this issue, a special exhibition of heart themed quilts will be shown for the Klaiber’s Heart Truth Quilt Challenge. Over 200 quilts and other items made by members of the Bloomington Quilters’ Guild will be displayed, including bed quilts, wall quilts, wearables, miniatures and dolls. In addition to the quilt displays, there will be a merchant mall, vendor demonstrations, a raffle quilt, a quilt appraiser available all day on Friday, plus a special live quilt auction on Saturday, November 15th at 3 p.m. Show hours are from 9 am to 7 pm both days.

Quilt Visions displays 45 outstanding contemporary quilts that reflect a universality of artistic expression. Jurors and commentators will show how art quilting relates to the broader field of contemporary art.
