Overnight Coffee Cake

Ingredients
- 3/4 cup margarine
- 1 cup white sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 2 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon baking bowder
- 1 teaspon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 cup pecans or walnuts, chopped (optional)
Preparation
- 1.For cake: cream shortening, sugar, and eggs. Sift dry ingredients together. Mix with creamed mixture.
- 2.Add sour cream and nuts.
- 3.Pour into 9" x 13" greased baking pan.
- 4.For topping: mix 1/2 cup brown sugar and 1 teaspoon cinnamon. Sprinkle topping over the cake batter in pan.
- 5.Cover and refrigerate overnight. Next morning, preheat oven to 350 degrees and bake for 35 to 40 minutes.
- 6.This is a great make-ahead breakfast treat. Try it during the holidays and your company will wake up to wonderful smells coming from your kitchen.
