"Pieces of a Collection: Selected Quilts from the Pioneer Woman Museum" will showcase historically significant quilts from the museum's permanent collection. Located in Ponca City, Oklahoma, a thriving rural town in northeastern Oklahoma, the Pioneer Woman Statue & Museum is home to the world famous Pioneer Woman Statue and a collection of 10,000+ objects highlighting women's history in Oklahoma.

Garden of Quilts Quilt Show

May. 05, 2017 - May. 06, 2017
The Western North Carolina Quilters’ Guild, which has proudly promoted the art of quilting since 1982, will present a juried quilt show entitled “A Garden of Quilts” May 5-6, 2017. Show hours are: 10 a.m.to 5 p.m. on Friday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday. The show will be located at the Bonclarken Conference Center in Flat Rock, NC, nestled in the spectacular Blue Ridge Mountains. The show will feature over 100 quilts judged by Scott Murkin. There will also be several fabric and arts-and-crafts vendors, a Guild boutique shop, and a variety of food items for sale at Bonclarken’s pavilion. Group tours may be available. Drawing for the Guild’s raffle quilt, Blooming Stars, will be held on Saturday May 6 and the winning ticket holder does not have to be present to win. Admission is $5 with free regular and handicap parking. Wheel chairs and walkers are welcomed. Visit www.westernncquilters.org for more information.

Festival of Quilts 2017

The Ottawa Valley Quilters Guild (OVQG) proudly presents its “Festival of Quilts 2017” May 12-14, with a special challenge celebrating Canada’s 150th birthday! This will be a great opportunity to plan a trip to visit Ottawa, as the Canada 150 celebrations will be in full swing, and while you are in Ottawa for the show you can also visit the annual Tulip Festival! OVQG is also excited to continue inspiring the next generation by once again showcasing youth quilts. In addition, OVQG will show hundreds of incredible quilts and quilted wearables. Visitors are encouraged to vote for their favourites, and participate in the “Visitor’s Challenge”. Our Members Boutique will have quilted items for sale, and over 20 vendors will be participating in the merchant mall. Door prizes will be handed out each day, there will also be raffle quilts supporting local charities, and even a scavenger hunt for kids! Chris Moline "200 Years of Quilts" Lecture/Trunk Show and Workshops

May. 18, 2017 - May. 20, 2017
On May 18 Chris will present her lecture and trunk show "200 Years of Quilts". A light hearted look at the history of women and textiles that will help gain a new understanding of the importance of women and the role of quilts as historical storybooks. On May 19 Chris will lead her "2 Block 2-Step" Quilt Workshop and on May 20 she will present 2 workshops - "Round the Bend" and "Featherweight Care and Maintenance".
