From the Cedar Chest: Generations of Southern Quilting, 1830s to Today

Open Tuesday- Saturday 10am-5pm. From the Cedar Chest: Generations of Southern Quilting, 1830s to Today is an exploration of the rich tradition of quilting in the North Florida Big Bend community, beginning 200 years ago and in an area spanning just 50 miles. Borrowed from private and museum collections, the quilts selected represent multiple generations of quilters, multiple cultures living in the community, the various quilting traditions used in the area and ultimately, how these generations, cultures, and traditions come together through the beloved art of quiltmaking.

Color My World Quilt Show

Please join us for our annual quilt show. Over 100 beautiful quilts made by our members will be on display. There will be a bake sale of homemade goodies, unique vendor booths and boutique with quilting-related or hand-made items just in time for holiday shopping. We'll have a special display of our guild's charity quilts for Project Linus and Project Warm Embrace. Tickets for our gorgeous raffle quilt will be available for purchase (drawing to be held on October 22nd, 2019). Guild members will be on hand to answer questions. Plan to bring your friends for a day of fellowship and fun 10AM to 5PM each day.

International Quilt & Fiber Arts Festival

The Festival is a unique combination of both extraordinary quilt artists and a variety of fiber art techniques and mediums submitted by wonderfully skilled artisans. Three exhibits will be presented at this year's Festival: 2019 Festival Entries Exhibit; Quilts from 1840-1900: Collection of Laurie Bingham; and Recently Acquisitioned Pieces to the Museum's Permanent Collection - over 350 quilt and fiber arts pieces in all! The Festival also features a lecture, "The Future of Quilting" by Frank Bennett, CEO of the National Quilt Museum, Paducah, KY, several classes and a wide selection of vendors to browse. Festival hours are 10am-5pm Fri-Sat, 10am-4pm Sun.

32nd Festival of Quilts

The 32nd Festival of Quilts is open Friday, October 11 from 10 a.m. - 5 p.m., and Saturday, October 12 from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. Come see more than 200 quilts and quilted items on display in our beautiful, historic sanctuary. Pieces are submitted by area guilds and individuals alike. The event features a salad luncheon and crafters' market, full of hand-crafted items on sale by area artists. Quilting Connection

There will be vendors with School House Sessions at each both and a grand prize drawing for a person who has completed all of the School House Sessions. The Quilt Guild will have techniques and presentations for starting to finishing a quilt during both days. The Guild will also have judged quilts, a bazaar booth and a silent auction on various completed mini to wall sized quilts, and other items related to quilting or sewing. 10-5 Friday and 10-4 Saturday.

Splash of Color Quilt Show

Ninigret Quilters 2019 Quilt Show

Gorge Quilt Show

The Columba River Gorge Quilters Guild’s 11th Annual Quilt Show will be from 10 am to 5pm. The show will feature traditional and contemporary quilts by quilt makers of the Columbia River Gorge. Special exhibits will include: art quilts done by Beyond the Block: Art Quilters of the Gorge, and “Your Song,” challenge quilts done by Columbia River Gorge Quilters. Also featured will be the ingenious animal creations of highly acclaimed local costume designer, Jaime Mack.
