From the Cedar Chest: Generations of Southern Quilting, 1830s to Today

Sep. 14, 2019 - Dec. 14, 2019
Open Tuesday- Saturday 10am-5pm. From the Cedar Chest: Generations of Southern Quilting, 1830s to Today is an exploration of the rich tradition of quilting in the North Florida Big Bend community, beginning 200 years ago and in an area spanning just 50 miles. Borrowed from private and museum collections, the quilts selected represent multiple generations of quilters, multiple cultures living in the community, the various quilting traditions used in the area and ultimately, how these generations, cultures, and traditions come together through the beloved art of quiltmaking.
