Jane K. Wells
Sisters Jane K. Wells and Linda K. Johnson are award-winning quilters who love every aspect of quilting and just happen to be crafty, old, and broad! In 2001, soon after they took their first quilt class, they started designing their own patterns, dreaming up new patterns while non-quilters were sleeping. They started the Crafty Ol’ Broads pattern and fabric company specializing in designing quilt patterns that appear much more complicated to make than they actually are. In 2005, Linda and Jane began teaching and lecturing as a team. They are passionate about sharing their knowledge and love of quilting by introducing quilters of all levels to their unique patterns. These sisters constantly challenge each other to create new techniques. Their quilts have been selected for distinction in shows and contests both locally and nationally. Three of their quilts have appeared in two recent “New Quilts from an Old Favorite” books that document a yearly contest sponsored by The National Quilt Museum (formerly the Museum of the American Quilter’s Society).
