  Little Brown Bird Patterns on CD–ROM by Margaret Docherty. The much anticipated cd–rom of Margaret Docherty’s appliqué patterns from her book and quilt called "Little Brown Bird" has finally been released! The 1 disc cd contains an array of patterns featuring feathered friends, wreaths, baskets, fruits, flowers, leaves, topiaries and scherenschnitte in a multimedia format. The cd has versions for both the Mac and the PC. It is fully self–loading with easy point and click navigation. I did find the printing steps a bit cumbersome, but in all it is worth it to have all of these beautiful patterns to play with. Color photographs and line illustrations of each pattern are provided, that includes 40 blocks plus 5 new bonus patterns. - The Appliqué Society – May/June 2004
