If you have trouble finding the right design when challenged with the terms “quilt as desired,” try some of Canadian longarm quilter Sue Patten’s “quilt as inspired” designs. Using 36 traditional block patterns, Sue fills them with her favorite styles of freehand quilting: swirls, flames, feathers and spheres. The book includes more than 150 worksheets to identify where and how to add quilting elements. Both hand and machine quilters will find this a valuable resource.
