  I must admit I am very fascinated by this book. After reading it, I think I could actually create one of these quilts. I am a visual learner, and there are enough graphics to walk me through the process. We are guided through the whole process, first by doing everything manually. Then Julia shows us how to use your graphics program to do some of the basic work. We learn how to see areas of light and dark in photo's. How shadows in photographs could be different shades of light and dark. She calls the process "Shadow Portraits". I'm definitely going to try this technique.
