This is a good reference for anyone who has purchased a new machine and isn't sure where to start. But the variety of projects focusing on quilts and pillows also makes it a great motivator for those who have owned their machines for some time and are looking to try something new. The Twisted Ribbon pattern is especially attractive and includes several interesting techniques.

It's easy to forget that most sewing machines have a lot of fancy stitches and fancy feet that could be used to make some really creative items for the home. This book starts out by showing some techniques, such as couching, fringing, pintucks, reverse bobbin work, that you can easily use with those fancy stitches and fancy feet that are lying around. Then it shows several beautiful projects such as pillows, wall hangings, and table runners using these techniques.
