Special Quilt Exhibits
27th Annual "A World Of Quilts" Quilt Show by the Des Moines Area Quilters Guild, hosted by the American Quilter’s Society at the annual AQS Quilt Show & Contest in Des Moines, Iowa.
2011 Pilgrim/Roy Quilt Challenge – an invitational challenge issued to nationally-known quiltmakers; these quilts will be auctioned at the AQS Quilt Show in Paducah in 2011.
Fantastic Feedsacks – members of the Midwest Feedsack Club share the quilts, clothes, and other items made from the sacks used for chicken feed, flour and food items during the depression and beyond.
Game Board Quilts – an exhibit of larger-than-life game boards with oversized pieces by Arlean Rosemore.
Living Colour – an exhibit highlighting the imaginative potential of the quilt as an art medium while being inspired by the Living Colour theme by members of the Association of Pacific West Quilters.
Men and the Art of Quiltmaking – an exhibition of quilts made by male quilters, curated by Joe Cunningham.
New Quilts from an Old Favorite: Sunflowers – semifinalists in a challenge to quiltmakers to create an innovative quilt based on a specific traditional pattern by The National Quilt Museum, Paducah, Kentucky.
