General Information
Paratransit Transportation
The process for utilizing the LIFT program is:
- If individuals have certification from another transit system and can provide proof of this, no additional certification is required.
- If not, the individual will need to complete the attached certification form and submit it the Knoxville Area Transit (see attached form w/directions for submitting). The form must be submitted a minimum of 21 days in advance of visit.
- The fare to the individual for utilizing this service is $3 each way ($6 round trip).
- Reservations must be made a minimum of 24 hrs in advance and no later than 4 p.m. the day before the service is requested. The service has the ability to change the requested pick-up or drop-off times up to one hour on either side of a trip request once made.
The good news regarding this service is that it is good for 2 years.
