Register Now for the 2007 AQS Quilt Expo & Contest: Nashville
If you enjoy any kind of needlework, then the AQS Expo—Three Shows Under One Roof—is for you. The Expo will be held in Nashville, Tennessee, August 22–25, 2007, at Gaylord Opryland® Resort and Convention Center. Exhibits include quilts in the Quilter’s Choice, On the Wall, and Ultimate Guild Challenge contests; the latest needlework stitched with cloth, yarn, or thread; and quilts made using a machine (longarm, embroidery, and home domestic sewing machines). More than 300 booths in the Merchant Mall provide a shopper’s paradise.
Learn to quilt in the AQS School of Quiltmaking—choose from classes to learn traditional and innovative methods for quiltmaking and other sewing and needlework, including punchneedle, knitting with fabric, home décor, and clothing.
You can participate in a variety of special events, starting on Tuesday with The Quilter’s Link. Wednesday begins with The Quilter’s Fanfare; the afternoon Awards Presentation, followed by a musical program by Cathy Miller, The Singing Quilter, and John Bunge; and an evening lecture with Caryl Bryer Fallert. Thursday’s events are the General Jackson® Showboat luncheon cruise and a musical concert by Ricky Tims. On Friday, you can have lunch and a lecture with Janet Jones Worley and enjoy Show & Tell with Margaret Miller and Bonnie Browning sponsored by Handi Quilter®. Have brunch with Margaret Miller on Saturday morning, and you can attend the Grand Ole Opry® on Friday or Saturday nights.
