Registration - College Credit for AQS Classes
Back to Registration
Combine classes taken at the AQS quilt shows in Paducah, Nashville, Des Moines and at the Museum of the American Quilter's Society (MAQS) with other core courses to earn a certificate in quilting. A combination of the certificate and other college courses can lead to an associate degree from West Kentucky Community & Technical College (WKCTC). The other WKCTC courses required for a degree may be taken on campus through convenient long distance learning on the Internet. All quilting classes must be taken at the AQS shows or MAQS.
Certificates available include Basic Quilting Certificate (4.5 credit hours), Intermediate Quilting Certificate (11 credit hours), Advanced Quilting Certificate (18 credit hours), and Master Quilting Certificate (25 credit hours). Please contact Dr. McInturff at the college directly at 270-534-3087 for information on course requirements and fees.
It is easy to register. Simply mark #1700, the WKCTC registration box, on the AQS Registration Form and AQS will forward your name to the college for processing. The college will send information to you on the registration, the program requirements (you will be required to write a paper after the show about the class to receive credit), and answer any questions you may have about the degree program. For additional information, contact Dr. Paul McInturff by phone at 270-534-3087 or by e-mail at paul.mcinturff@kctcs.edu. You can also visit the WKCTC website at http://www.westkentucky.kctcs.edu/.
