About the Show
The excitement is building for the 27th Annual AQS Quilt Show & Contest, April 27 – 30, 2011, in Paducah, Kentucky. "Change is the only constant" certainly applies to this year's show as the show moves ahead without using the now-demolished Executive Inn. The quilt exhibits and vendors will be located in the Paducah Expo Center, Julian Carroll Convention Center, and the Pavilion, all located at 415 Park Avenue in downtown Paducah, KY 42001. Special events will be held at the Carson Four Rivers Center, (100 Kentucky Avenue), and the AQS "Hurt" Book Sale and more vendors will be in the Finkel Building, (200 Kentucky Avenue). Food will be available in the Expo and Convention Centers, and in the parking lot with seating under a tent and at picnic tables.

- Tuesday: All-Star Review, AQS Awards Presentation, Sneak Preview (benefit for The National Quilt Museum), and Stitched
- Wednesday: AQS Roundtable, Quilt Art Autograph Party, Quilters’ 1950s Fun Night, Stitched, and The National Quilt Museum’s Silent Auction
- Thursday: Auction Preview Party, The National Quilt Museum’s Annual Quilt Auction, and Charlotte Angotti – A Funny Thing Happened When I Made This Quilt
- Friday: The National Quilt Museum’s Silent Auction, An Evening of Inspiration and Entertainment with Ricky Tims, Stitched, and New Quilts from an Old Favorite: Orange Peel book signing
- Saturday: All-Star Review, and Stitched
More than $122,000 in cash prizes will be awarded in this year’s quilt contest, with the Janome Best of Show winner receiving a $20,000 cash award. Special quilt exhibits include Award Winning Quilts from the 2011 AQS Quilt Show – Lancaster, Pilgrim/Roy Quilt Challenge 2012, AQS It’s in the Bag Contest; Pilgrim/Roy Quilt Challenge 2011 (will be auctioned); and the 2010 Winners from the AQS/Hobbs Bonded Fibers Fashion Show.
