Meet the 2024 Christmas Eve Quilt

This year’s quilt, Christmas Eve, is truly one of a kind! Mixing modern flair with traditional charm, the straight-set design is brought to life through a delightful combination of traditional piecing and foundation paper piecing.

The 6" finished blocks make it a wonderful project for using up your fabric scraps and are the ideal size to showcase fussy cutting with your favorite prints. The background fabric ties everything together—our sample showcases a clean white background that beautifully frames the pops of color. While we’ve opted for classic reds and greens, we encourage you to let your creativity shine and choose fabrics you love, whether they’re bold solids, festive prints, or whatever makes your heart sing.

Fabric Requirements

Scrappy is a great option for this quilt. Collect your scraps for each color to make up the requested yardage amount.

Background Fabric (White): 1 1/2 yards

Light Red: 1/3 yard 

Dark Red: 3/4 yard

Light Green: 1/2 yard 

Medium Green: 1/3 yard

Dark Green: 3/4 yard

Binding: 1/3 yard

Blocks

The blocks are 6" x 6" finished (sewn into the quilt) and 6 1/2" x 6 1/2" unfinished (before they are sewn together into the quilt top). Measurements are given at each stage of the block pattern to help with accuracy.
