Block Assembly
Sew a green triangle to the background 3 1/8″ x 6 1/8″ rectangle as shown below by aligning a short side of the triangle to the corner of the rectangle to make a block quarter unit. Make 50.
Repeat with the blue triangles to make the remaining block quarter units. Make 50.
Sew a blue and a green block quarter unit together with the untrimmed edges facing out. Sew 25 pairs. Sew the pairs into the block as shown below. Trim to 7 1/2″ square like sizing a quarter square triangle.
Make 25 blocks.
Quilt Assembly
Use the blocks and the background 1 1/2″ x 7 1/2″ rectangles to make five rows of five blocks each as shown below. Sew the rows together with four of the background 1 1/2″ x 39 1/2″ strips.
Add the side borders using the remaining 1 1/2″ x 39 1/2″ strips, and then add the top and bottom border using the background 1 1/2″ x 41 1/2″ strips.
Once the top is completed, layer with batting and backing. Quilt as desired and bind using preferred method.
