Join Belle Brunner of Seams Sew Me for her very special quilt along.
The Lovely Pinwheels pattern is for confident beginners and a super easy quick quilt to make, especially if you make the 42” x 54” child size version. The 66” x 78” lap size is a quick make too. The pattern consists to two traditional pinwheel blocks and each block comes with a video tutorial linked within the pattern for visual learners.
About the Quilt
Belle Brunner of Seams Sew Me designed this pattern in recognition of April’s National Child Abuse Prevention month and for the hundreds of thousands of survivors around the world. Each April, child abuse professionals from 900+ nonprofit Child Advocacy Centers from across the world place blue pinwheels throughout their community to represent children who have received services.
As a former social worker and Director of a Children’s Advocacy Center (CAC), Belle saw first-hand the effects of child abuse as well as the need for the community to support their local non-profit CAC. Belle invites you to consider making the child size quilt to donate to your local CAC. Children are given a stuffed animal, blanket or quilt at the end of their appointment. I'll be donating one as well as making a monetary donation to my local CAC.
The QAL begins Wednesday April 5th and ends Tuesday May 10th.
