Fabric Cutting
Setting Cutting:
From the medium green fabric, cut:
(2) 1½” x Width of Fabric (WOF) strips, subcut into:
(2) 1½” x 22½”
(4) 1½” x 6½”
From the dark green fabric, cut:
(2) 2” x WOF strips, subcut
into: (2) 2” x 25½”
(2) 2” x 8½”
From the binding fabric, cut:
(2) 2½” x WOF strips
Pink Flower:
From the light green fabric, cut:
(2) 3” x 3”
(8) 1½” x 1½”
From the gold fabric, cut:
(1) 2½” x 2½”
From the merlot fabric, cut:
(4) 1½” x 1½”
From the light pink fabric, cut:

From the medium pink fabric, cut:

Pink Flower
Half Square Triangle Units
Mark the wrong side of the light green 3” squares in half diagonally once. Lay a marked square over a medium pink 3” square, right sides together. Sew a ¼” from each side of the marked line. Cut apart on the marked line. Trim unit to 2½” square.
Make 4 light green/medium pink HST.
Flying Geese Units
Mark the wrong side of the light green 1½” squares in half diagonally once. Lay a marked square right sides together with a dark pink 1½” x 2½” rectangle, oriented as shown. Sew on the marked line. Trim a ¼” seam and press. Repeat on the other side with another marked light green 1½” square.
Make 4 light green/dark pink Flying Geese units.
Repeat with medium pink 1½” squares and a light pink 1½” x 2½” rectangle.
Make 4 medium pink/light pink Flying Geese units.
Arrange a light green/dark pink Flying Geese unit with a medium pink/light pink Flying Geese unit. Sew them together.
Unit measures 2½” x 2½” unfinished. Make 4.
Square In A Square Unit
Mark the wrong side of 4 merlot 1½” squares in half diagonally once. Lay a marked square over the corner of a gold 2½” square, right sides together. Sew on the marked line. Trim a ¼” seam and press.
Repeat on the remaining corners with the marked squares to make a Square in a Square unit. Make 1.
Pink Block Assembly
Arrange all the units as shown below. Sew the units into rows and then sew the rows together to complete the block.
Block measures 6½” x 6½” unfinished.
Purple Flower
Half Square Triangle (HST) Units
Mark the wrong side of the light green 3” squares in half diagonally once. Lay a marked square over a medium purple 3” square, right sides together. Sew a ¼” from each side of the marked line. Cut apart on the marked line. Trim unit to 2½” square.
Make 4 light green/medium purple HST.
Repeat with light purple and light medium purple 3” squares.
Make 4 light purple/light medium purple 2½” HST.
Square In A Square Unit
Mark the wrong side of 4 dark purple 1½” squares in half diagonally once. Lay a marked square over the corner of a gold 2½” square, right sides together. Sew on the marked line. Trim a ¼” seam and press.
Repeat on the remaining corners with the marked squares to make a Square in a Square unit. Make 1.
Purple Block Assembly
Arrange all the units as shown below. Sew the units into rows and then sew the rows together to complete the block.
Block measures 6½” x 6½” unfinished.
Orange Flower

Mark the wrong side of the light orange 1½” squares in half diagonally once. Lay a marked square right sides together with a light green 1½” x 2½” rectangle, oriented as shown. Sew on the marked line. Trim a ¼” seam and press. Repeat on the other side with another marked light orange 1½” square.
Make 4 light orange/light green Flying Geese units.
Arrange a light orange/light green Flying Geese unit with a dark coral 1½” x 2½” rectangle. Sew them together.
Unit measures 2½” x 2½” unfinished. Make 4.
Square In A Square Unit
Mark the wrong side of 4 light orange 1½” squares in half diagonally once. Lay a marked square over the corner of a gold 2½” square, right sides together. Sew on the marked line. Trim a ¼” seam and press.
Repeat on the remaining corners with the marked squares to make a Square in a Square unit. Make 1.
Orange Block Assembly
Arrange all the units as shown below. Sew the units into rows and then sew the rows together to complete the block.
Block measures 6½” x 6½” unfinished.
Mother’s Garden Table Runner Assembly
Lay out the three blocks with 4 medium green 1½” x 6½” rectangles, as shown. Sew together and press.
Then sew on the 1½” x 22½” rectangles to the top and bottom. Press.
Sew a dark green 2” x 8½” rectangle to each end and press. Then sew a dark green 2” x 25½” rectangle to the top and bottom and press.
Layer the table runner top with batting and backing. Quilt as desired and bind using your preferred method.
