We’re thrilled to announce two new workshops at AQS QuiltWeek - Daytona Beach, February 19-22, 2025 at the Ocean Center. These exciting workshops, led by AQS Instructor Lynn Wheatley, offer quilters of all levels the chance to expand their skills and explore new techniques. Meet Lynn Wheatley

Lynn Wheatley’s love for quilting spans over 38 years, and her passion for teaching is at the heart of her workshops. As a retired engineer with a background in process and design, Lynn brings a unique perspective to her quilting instruction. She specializes in precision piecing, curved piecing, and quilt design, and is a Certified Instructor for both Studio 180 Design and Sew Kind of Wonderful.

Lynn’s teaching style is patient, organized, and encouraging, ensuring that every student—whether a beginner or an accomplished quilter—feels empowered and inspired to take their skills to the next level. In addition to her teaching, Lynn has published quilt designs and is a pattern designer with Island Batik. Her ability to blend creativity with technique makes her workshops a must-attend experience!

Curvy Log Cabin Block Workshop

In this workshop, Lynn will guide you through creating the Curvy Log Cabin Block, a modern version of the traditional Log Cabin block that adds an eye-catching curvy illusion to your quilt without any tricky curve piecing! Using a technique developed by Deb Tucker from Studio 180 Design, you’ll learn how to piece strips and trim to perfection using the Tucker Trimmer III™ Tool and the Curvy Log Cabin Technique Sheet. By the end of this workshop, you'll have two beautiful 7” Scrappy Curvy Log Cabin Blocks that will add a unique touch to any quilt. This workshop is perfect for quilters who are new to piecing or looking to perfect their precision!

Ellie’s Blooms Workshop
