Fabric Requirements

Cream –  1 7/8 yards
Purple –  7/8 yard
Dark Purple – 7/8 yard
Yellow – 5/8 yard
Binding – 5/8 yard
Backing – 4 yards or 1 7/8 yards of 108" backing

Cutting Instructions

From the cream fabric, cut:

(65) 2½” x 2½”

(65) 2½” x 4½”

(48) 4½” x 4½”

From the purple fabric, cut:

(60) 2½” x 2½”

(60) 2½” x 4½”

From the dark purple fabric, cut:

(52) 4½” x 4½”

From the yellow fabric, cut:

(125) 2½” x 2½”

 

Block Assembly

Sew together a cream and a yellow 2½” square, and press to the yellow. Sew a cream 2½” x 4½” rectangle to the top of the pair. Repeat to make 5 units. Unit measures 4½” x 4½” unfinished.

Posie unit

Sew a unit to the left and right side of a dark purple 4½” square, using the block image for orientation. Press towards the dark. This is the top row. Repeat to make a bottom row. Sew a dark purple 4½” square to the left and right side of a patch unit, and press to the dark to make a center row.

Make 13 blocks.

Repeat using the remaining fabrics to make the block shown below.

Make 12 blocks.

From the binding fabric, cut:
(7) 2 1/2″ x WOF strips

Quilt Assembly

Set the blocks together in rows of five, alternating the blocks in each row.

Once the rows are complete, sew the rows together to make the quilt top.

Layer the quilt top, batting and backing. Quilt as desired and bind using preferred method.
