She used three patterns by Edyta Sitar to make her needleturn appliqued quilt.

Kathy DeMuro's Lakeshore Hosta Quilt

Kathy DeMuro talks with Bonnie Browning at AQS QuiltWeek - Daytona Beach 2022 about her quilt, Lakeshore Hosta, a foundation paper-pieced pattern by Judy and Bradley Niemeyer.

Kathy chose her own fabric colors. Sometimes a light thread will show - she had that problems with a light gray thread she used and took out that thread and restitched it.

Kim Fong's I Wheelie Love You Quilt

She drew the designs in the Art Deco style for Nouveau Flora that was made totally by hand. The Schooner quilt uses the raw-edge collage technique.

Kyra Reps' Aurora Quilt

Kyra Reps from Northwood, Iowa, talks with Bonnie Browning about her semi-finalist quilt, Aurora, that includes more than 3,000 dots that are done using needleturn hand appliqué.

She also made a dress and shoes that match her quilt using fused dots.

Cherri Kincaid's Entomologists Dream Quilt

Cherri Kincaid shares details about her quilt, Entomologists Dream, that was displayed at AQS QuiltWeek in Daytona Beach 2022.

The quilt features 68 different beetles in a circular design. Cherri quilted the background first, and then appliquéd the bugs on top of the background. The bugs have digitized embroidered designs.
