Fabric requirements:
Various jewel toned fabrics – 3 yards or 8 fat quarters or 100 charm squares
Tan fabric – 2 1/2 yards
Binding – 5/8 yard
Cutting instructions:
From various jewel-toned fabrics, cut:
(400) 2 1/2" squares
From the tan fabric, cut:
(300) 1 1/4" x 2 1/2" rectangles
(95) 1 1/4" x 10 3/4" rectangles
Cut 3 strips 10 3/4" x WOF, then subcut strips 1 1/4"
(2) 2 7/8” x 54 3/4" (cut and assemble from WOF)
(2) 2 7/8” x 60 1/2" (cut and assemble from WOF)
Block Assembly:
Lay a tan 1 1/4" x 2 1/2" rectangle over a 2 1/2" square right sides together. Sew and press. Repeat to create a row with 4 squares and 3 rectangles as shown. Make 4 rows.
Lay a tan 1 1/4" x 10 3/4" rectangle over a block row right sides together. Sew and press. Repeat to create a block with 4 rows and 3 rectangles as shown. Make 25 blocks.
Completed block looks like the block above.
Quilt Assembly:
Arrange blocks and sew in rows of five blocks with four 1 1/4" x 10 3/4" rectangles in between. Make 5 rows of blocks and assemble as shown. Add side borders, and then top and bottom borders.
Quilt as desired and bind.
