Lay two strips, right sides together. Sew for 2 1/2" and stop. Trim to the length to 2 1/2″. Press the unit open. Unit measures 2 1/2" x 4 1/2″ unfinished. Lay one of the strips just used over the pair and sew.
Press towards the strip and trim into a 4 1/2″ square.
Repeat this with the next color to create the next round.
Continue to add rounds until the quilt has 18 rounds, plus the center. As the sides get longer, use the matching strip from the second strip pack. Save the scraps for the binding. Quilt finishes 38″ square.
Layer the top with batting and backing. Quilt as desired.
Sew scraps and leftover strips from the project together to create a scrappy binding. Bind using preferred method.
