INFORMATION
Scooter Rental
Scooters/Wheelchairs
Scooters and wheelchairs will be available to rent from 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Wednesday through Friday, and from 8:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. on Saturday during AQS QuiltWeek – Daytona Beach 2024.
Rental Rates:
- Scooter: $80 per day, $150 for 2 days
- Scooter Half-Day (Morning or Afternoon): $45 - Available from 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Or 12:00 - 4:00 p.m. (Saturday 12:00 - 3 p.m.) - Wheelchairs: $40 per day / Take AQS wheelchairs to the show for rental.
Please call Emilee Childress at (270) 898-7903 x192 before 2/15/2024 to make a reservation, or rent your scooter at the AQS Information Center during QuiltWeek (while supplies last).
If you have a scooter reserved, stop at the AQS Information Center inside the Exhibit Hall to make payment, sign the paperwork, and pick up the key.
Scooters should be returned one hour prior to the show closing each day (4:00 p.m. on Wed., Thurs., and Fri., and 3:00 p.m. on Sat). You will need to return the key to the AQS Information Center.
Dining at the Show
No food or drink may be brought into the Ocean Center during AQS QuiltWeek, February 21–24, 2024.
Drinks and Grab & Go items will be available in the hallway outside the Exhibit Hall from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on show days.
Food stations will be available for lunch in the West Concourse at the Ocean Center:
Soup and Salad bar
- Daily soups
- Soda, water, and coffee
Baked Potato Bar
- Jumbo baked potatoes with all of the toppings
- Soda, water, and coffee
Quilt Appraisals
AQS Certified Quilt Appraisers will appraise new or antique/vintage quilts for insurance replacement, or for sale or donation purposes.
No appointment is necessary, but you can contact Bonnie Browning at 270-898-7903, ext. 146 or bonnie.browning@americanquilter.com to schedule a day and time.
Walk-in appraisals for AQS QuiltWeek - Daytona Beach, FL 2024 will be held Thursday and Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Appraisal Fee: $75 per quilt, payable at the AQS Information Center prior to the appraisal. You’ll receive your written appraisal no later than 30 days after the close of the show.

You’ll find plenty of things to do in Daytona Beach, where you’re always within minutes of countless adventures. Famous for its beaches and motorsports, there is an abundance of arts, culture and history, live music, shopping, golfing and all for you to explore!
Local Charity
Sit & Sew Fidget Quilts
At each AQS QuiltWeek event, the American Quilter's Society partners with a local charity. This year AQS, the Racing Fingers Quilt Guild, and quilters attending the show will be making fidget quilts for Alzheimer's patients. Look for the Sit & Sew Fidget Quilts booth in the Exhibit Hall and stop to sew a small 20–24" quilt that will be donated to a local patient with Alzheimer's. They are made from a variety of fabrics to create texture. Embellishments like ribbons, cords, buttons, pompoms, empty spools, and other items are added to create a "touchy-feely" quilt. All supplies and sewing machines are provided. We can make a difference!
Quilts of Valor
Stop at the Quilts of Valor booth #1329 to learn more about the Quilts of Valor Foundation, whose mission is to cover service members and veterans touched by war with comforting and healing Quilts of Valor.
K9 Quilts of Honor
Law enforcement and military war dogs are honored though the K9 Quilts of Honor® program. Quilts are presented to the K9 handlers in honor of their dog’s servicing in our communities and country after a lifetime of service when the K9 retires or dies in the line of duty. Stop by the K9 Quilts of Honor booth #1614 for more information about this program.
