Scooter Rental

Grand Rapids Scooter Rental Information

Thank you for your interest in renting a scooter at AQS QuiltWeek - Grand Rapids! We're dedicated to ensuring all our guests have a comfortable and enjoyable experience at the quilt show.

Scooters and wheelchairs will be available to rent from 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Wednesday through Friday, and from 8:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. on Saturday during AQS QuiltWeek – Grand Rapids 2024.

  • Rental Rates – In addition to the rental fees listed below, please note that a $10 cash security deposit will be required for all scooter rentals. This deposit is refundable upon the timely return of the scooter. Please bring the $10 cash security deposit on the day of the rental, along with the rental fee (cash or credit card), to the Information Center.

    Late Charges – There will be a $10 late charge for all scooters returned late. We kindly ask that you return your scooter promptly at the end of your rental period to avoid any additional fees.
  • Scooters
    o Half-Day (Morning or Afternoon): $55
    – Available from 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. or 12:00 - 4:00 p.m. (Saturday 12:00 - 3 p.m.)
    o Full Day: $100 per day
    o 2 Days: $170 for 2 days for AQS Members
    – Must be consecutive days
  • Wheelchairs
    o $40 per day

Please call Julie Heath at (270) 898-7903 x182 to make a reservation or rent your scooter at the AQS Information Center during QuiltWeek (while supplies last).

If you have a scooter reserved, stop at the AQS Information Center inside the Exhibit Hall to make payment, sign the paperwork, and pick up the key.

Scooters should be returned one hour before the show closing each day (4:00 p.m. on Wed., Thurs., and Fri., and 3:00 p.m. on Sat). You will need to return the key to the AQS Information Center.

Quilt AppraisalsQuilt Appraisals

Quilt Appraisals

AQS Certified Quilt Appraisers will appraise new or antique/vintage quilts for insurance replacement, or for sale or donation purposes.

No appointment is necessary, but you can contact Michelle Thompson at 270-898-7903, ext. 132 or michelle.thompson@americanquilter.com to schedule a day and time.

Walk-in appraisals for AQS QuiltWeek – Grand Rapids, MI 2024 will be held Thursday and Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Appraisal Fee: $75 per quilt, payable at the AQS Information Center prior to the appraisal.

You’ll receive your written appraisal no later than 30 days after the close of the show.

At each show, the American Quilter’s Society partners with charitable groups to help make the public aware of their contribution.

 

West Michigan Quilters' GuildWest Michigan Quilters' Guild

Sit N Sew, Booth #1813

This year, AQS, West Michigan Quilters' Guild, and quilters attending the show will be making Preemie Quilts that will be donated to WMQG Neonatal Quilt Project which benefits the NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit) at Helen DeVos Children's Hospital in Grand Rapids. The families can choose their quilt and they keep it when the baby comes home. Sewing machines, irons, and all materials are provided. We can make a difference by sewing for charity at the show!
