Weeks Ringle co-founded Modern Quilt Studio with her husband, Bill Kerr, in 1999. Bill and Weeks have coauthored numerous books on modern quilting, color for quiltmakers, and transparency quilts. They also coauthored a sewing book for children with their daughter, Sophie. In 2011, they launched Modern Quilts Illustrated, the first magazine exclusively dedicated to modern quilting. Their work has appeared in the international press including American Patchwork & Quilting, Quilts Japan, Patchwork Tsushin (Japan), Australian Quilter’s Companion, Dwell, O:The Oprah Magazine, TIME, The New York Times, and Country Living. In addition to writing books, Weeks has written extensively for American Quilter, American Quilt Retailer, and as a guest blogger on various blogs. Weeks and Bill design several lines of fabric a year and teaches in workshops worldwide.
