Join AQS in Des Moines, Iowa for a week of quilts! Take quilt classes, enjoy lectures, and shop fabrics, notions and more at the Vendor Merchant Mall. Most of all, be inspired as you explore beautiful quilts, from award-winning and semi-finalist contest quilts to special exhibits.
While you're enjoying QuiltWeek, be sure to check out the local area. Take a break in the Botanical Garden and shop at the local boutiques. There's so much to see and do, you'll want to stay the week!

You can rent a scooter or wheelchair at the AQS Information Center, located inside the Exhibit Hall, September 14–17, 2022. Reservations are recommended; call the AQS Office on or before September 8, 2022, 270-898-7903, or email email@example.com. Scooters and wheelchairs will be available at the show, based on availability.

AQS Certified Quilt Appraisers will appraise new or antique/vintage quilts for insurance replacement, or for sale or donation purposes.
Walk-in appraisals for AQS QuiltWeek – Des Moines, IA 2022 will be held Thursday and Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Appraisal Fee: $75 per quilt, payable at the AQS Information Center prior to the appraisal.
You’ll receive your written appraisal no later than 30 days after the close of the show.
NOTE: There is NO overnight parking available in Iowa Events Center lots. Vehicles left overnight will be towed.
Attendee Parking Car parking is available north of the Vets Auditorium with entrances off the following streets: Third and Fifth. Accessible parking is available at the Iowa Events Center by entering the lot south of Crocker Street, next to the Community Choice Credit Union Convention Center.
Cars/trucks/vans, etc. that take one parking spot are $10 a day – no in/outs.
Trucks with dually;s are $20 a day – no in/outs.
Trailers are $10 per spot per day – no in/outs.

Street parking is available throughout downtown with the convenience of parking meters. Pay during certain times (typically no parking between 4-6 p.m.; cost varies).

Sleep in Heavenly Peace with the Eastern Polk Quilters Guild
At each AQS QuiltWeek event, the American Quilter's Society partners with a local charity. AQS, the Eastern Polk Quilters Guild, and quilters attending the show will be making twin-sized quilts for Sleep in Heavenly Peace, a group of volunteers dedicated to building, assembling and delivering top-notch bunk beds to children and families in need. Look for the Sit & Sew Charity booth in the Exhibit Hall and stop to sew a block or two. All supplies and sewing machines are provided. We can make a difference!
Quilts of Valor
Learn about the Quilts of Valor Foundation and making quilts for veterans who have been touched by war. Look for the Quilts of Valor booth in the Exhibit Hall. A special Quilts of Valor presentation will be held on Thursday at 12:00 p.m. in the AQS Learning Center, located in the Exhibit Hall.
