Become an Quilt Instructor

Share your talent and inspiration and motivate others in the art of quiltmaking.

At AQS, we are constantly looking for instructors that have skills and projects that would appeal to a diverse group of students. From traditional to cutting-edge, from piecing to fabric dyeing, we want it all!

Each of these events will be over a period of four days, Wednesday through Saturday. We have openings for full-time and part-time instructors.

A full-time instructor will teach a minimum of 3 days. AQS will pay the teaching fee, transportation, double-occupancy lodging and $40 per teaching day for meals. We ask that full-time instructors teach at least one 6-hour class and five 3-hour classes, or some other combination. You can substitute a lecture for one of the 3-hour classes.

A part-time instructor will teach any combination of classes that total less than three days. AQS will pay the teaching fee and $40 per teaching day for meals. Transportation and lodging are the responsibility of the instructor.

Feel free to submit all classes or lectures that you currently offer. Once we have received your offerings, you may be contacted to verify your availability for specific events so that you can reserve that spot in your calendar.

If you have any questions, please contact the Show Department at education@americanquilter.com, for further information.
