Then this is the workshop for you to learn about different weights of thread for quilting. Education is key, and Sarah will explain the uses and finished effects of different thread weights, as well as cotton, metallic, water-soluble, and monofilament fibers, in this hands-on workshop. Sarah also covers thread basics, including information on weight and ply, spool positioning, needle recommendations, and tension settings. She will offer helpful tips and tricks, then share projects and photos aimed to inspire and expand your use of threads. You will be sharing a BERNINA Q16/20 sit-down longarm machine in this hands-on workshop. The skills taught in this workshop are transferable to your home domestic sewing machine. Two people per machine.
