Women in the U.S. couldn’t vote until the passage of the 19th Amendment in 1920. Before that, women often expressed moral, religious, and political opinions in their quilts. Ann will discuss some of the opinions expressed on such issues as Temperance, Abolition, Suffrage, Health, and Military Actions. We still express ourselves through our quilts, supporting various community service projects. Ann is a member of the Quilts of Valor organization and co-author of two of their books.
