Local Charity
The Santa Claus Girls – Doll Quilts with the West Michigan Quilters’ Guild
At each AQS QuiltWeek event, the American Quilter's Society partners with a local charity. AQS, the West Michigan Quilters’ Guild, and quilters attending the show will be making doll-sized quilts for The Santa Claus Girls project, a volunteer organization that distribute gifts to children of Kent County that may otherwise be without gifts during the Holidays.
Look for the Sit & Sew Charity booth in the Exhibit Hall and stop to help sew a doll quilt. All supplies and sewing machines are provided. We can make a difference!
Quilts of Valor:
Learn about the Quilts of Valor Foundation and making quilts for veterans who have been touched by war. Look for the Quilts of Valor booth in the Exhibit Hall. A special Quilts of Valor presentation will be held on Thursday at 12:00 p.m. in the AQS Learning Center, located in the Exhibit Hall.
