Instructor

Roelfsema, Nancy
Nancy started sewing at a very young age, making cloths for her dolls and later for herself. Coming from a large family of 10 kids, making a new outfit herself was the only way to get it. She has been teaching the art of quilt-making for over 25 years. Nancy's YouTube channel, "OnPoint-TV" has 47,000 subscribers at this time with over 250 videos. Her teaching style is great for beginners and has advanced techniques from efficient and accurate rotary cutting, creating your own fabric using many painting techniques, piecing, traditional, improvisational quilt making, paper piecing and machine quilting. The art of teaching quilt-making brings Nancy joy. For more information visit onpoint-tv.com.

When you go down to the core, quilting is love. We quilt to keep people warm. We cover our loved ones in fabric hugs. We fill our homes with inspiring colors. We share love when we gift a quilt or donate quilts to charity. Travel along with Nancy as she navigates through her history as a quilter. Her mother’s artistic talent took root in Nancy as a love for fabric and quilt design. Her trunk show features examples from throughout her quilting career and illustrates her design skills. Why do you quilt? Supplies are not required for a lecture, although you may want to bring a pen and paper to take notes.
