Fabulous Fused Fabric Postcards, #39523
These colorful postcards are almost instant gratification! You can actually mail these postcards, use them as gifts, frame them, or swap with friends. Carol will share her favorite fusing techniques while you make postcards using fused, raw-edge appliqué. In addition to the many designs that are included in each pattern (see kit information), Carol will provide at no additional cost two unpublished postcard designs. She will also bring a basket of batik scraps to share in case you need a different color.

Hippy Dippy Dotty Collage, #35104w
Join Carol for this fun, fused project! You will experiment with positive and negative circular shapes while playing with color and various design elements. The class project is a wallhanging measuring approximately 20" x 27". With Carol's guidance, you will create a unique piece that appears to evolve organically. There will be no measuring or matching of seams, but there will be lots of fun! Carol will offer suggestions for several ways to use these fused collages. She will also give you a free pattern for a mini journal cover that you can make at home from a smaller fabric collage. Carol will bring her die cutters and lots of circle dies for you to use. Registration for this class includes show admission for Wednesday.

Learn the Art of Thread Painting on a Photo, #32503
If you've wondered about thread painting, this program is for you! Carol will discuss topics including how to select an image, how to get that image onto fabric, the purposes and goals of thread painting, stabilizers, needles, threads, sewing machines, and the use of color. She will demonstrate three different types of free-motion stitching that she incorporates into her thread painted work. Supplies are not required for a lecture/demo, although you may want to bring a pen and paper to take notes.
