Fast, fun, and oh so magical. Step into the world of pictorial appliqué. Learn the steps of layered UNIT appliqué to enhance your designs. Two appliqué methods will be used to create your turtle. The Easy Apliquick method - turned edges create more loft, dimension, and longevity in your turtles. You will use this method for the larger shapes and then fuse on the smaller mosaic flipper shapes. Kathy will be teaching the Apliquick method. Apliquick tools are required for this workshop. Kathy will go over her favorite machine appliqué stitch. Class objectives: Tips for basic pattern making for all sea critters using base shapes, shading objects to increase the sense of form using Kathy’s favorite paint crayons, choosing fabrics for pictorial work, creating 3-D embellishments, and quilting the Pictorial quilt.
