Bright and Bold Wool Appliqué Trunk Show, #21805
During this lecture, Angela will discuss the evolution of brightly dyed wool, which has taken the world of wool appliqué to a whole new level. This lecture will include a presentation on Angela's preferred techniques, notions, and threads. She will share her wool appliqué quilting experiences through a trunk show that includes her own appliquéd quilts. Throughout this lecture, Angela will discuss color and fabric selection including the mixed use of cotton, wool, and silk fabrics to create bright and bold quilt projects. Supplies are not required for a lecture, although you may want to bring a pen and paper to take notes.

Broderie Perse Flowers: Floral Bouquet, #23101w
This workshop is jam-packed with hand and wool appliqué techniques. The first half of this class will feature needle-turn techniques including demonstrations of the preparation steps as well as the actual needle-turn appliqué stitch. Angela will address circles, inside and outside points, and methods for making stems. The most important technique, which makes this project so special, is the Broderie Perse flowers! During the second half of this class, there will be demonstrations of wool techniques and several decorative stitches including the whip, blanket, running, fly stitches, the chain stitch, and colonial knots. Finished size of this quilt is 17" x 22". Registration for this class includes show admission for Wednesday.

Butterfly Garden: Learn Basic Needle-turn Appliqué, #23507
This needle-turn appliqué workshop begins with the presentation of Angela's preferred hand appliqué tools and techniques. Angela will demonstrate the basic needle-turn stitch as well as a variety of techniques for successfully stitching circles and points. She will present the advanced appliqué techniques of reverse appliqué and Broderie Perse. Upon completion of this workshop you will be prepared to tackle any appliqué project. Finished size of this quilt is 12" X 14".

Buzzin' in the Beehive: Master the Bullion Stitch, #23508
The primary focus of this class is to master the Bullion stitch, which is used to create the bumble bees. This class will include a presentation on the nature of wool, which threads to use, and wool preparation options. Angela will demonstrate the Blanket Stitch, the French Knot, and the Colonial Knot, all stitches you will use to complete this honey of a wool appliqué project. Finished size of this quilt is 10" x 10".

Stems, Buttons & Circles, #23505
In this workshop, you will explore ways to enhance your wool pillow appliqué project using a variety of techniques for creating attractive stems. Angela will demonstrate several creative embroidery stitches including the Chain, Herringbone, Couching, Wheatear, and Pekinese stitches. Decorating circles with the fly stitch, as well as the use of buttons, will complete your embroidery adventure in this fun filled workshop. Who knew there were so many ways to create a stem? Finished size of this quilt is 8" x 11".
