Lectures
Wednesday, 9:00 – 10:00 a.m.
Eisenhower Room
Glover, Cathy
All Levels
$15

Explore quilting history from the early 1800s to today while looking at the fabrics and quilts that kept our ancestors (and us) clothed and warm. Fabrics, colors, and patterns widely vary, while some fabrics and patterns keep showing up through the years. Did you know a quilt can talk to you through the fabrics, styles, and colors, giving clues to possible dates, regions, and more? Join Cathy for a look at fabrics and quilts of different periods to see what they have to say. This is a fascinating step through quilting history with the fabric of our lives! Supplies are not required for a lecture, although you may want to bring a pen and paper to take notes.
