Learn how to take advantage of your fabric selections to create the magic you’re looking for in your quilting projects. No matter what type of quilter you are, traditional or modern, you will improve your skills and sharpen your eye.

Michelle discusses ways to identify a fabric’s overall color, shading, and tone. Learn how to read and use a color wheel. Explore Analogous, Complementary, Split-Complementary, and Triadic color plans in fabric. Appreciate colors that naturally look good together. Get tips on how to arrange your fabric, analyze your fabric, and augment your stash with wise purchases. Look at your fabrics in a whole new way!

Join us for a thrilling evening of friendly competition, laughter, and camaraderie at the annual AQS Game Night! This year, we're putting your quilting phrase knowledge to the ultimate test in a high-stakes, gameshow-style battle!

Hosted by the charismatic Michelle Renee Hiatt, the night will feature audience-formed teams competing in three exciting rounds of Quilt Phrase Frenzy:

  • Round 1: Quilting Charades - Can you act out a Flying Geese block or a Y-seam without making a sound?
  • Round 2: Quilting Pictionary - Put your drawing skills to the test as your teammates try to guess the mystery quilting term!
  • Round 3: Quilting Password - It’s a race against the clock! Give your team one-word clues to figure out quilting phrases.

Teams will battle through the rounds, with the two highest-scoring teams advancing to the dramatic playoff! Whether you're competing for glory or just enjoying the night, this is the perfect chance to connect with fellow quilters and make new friends.

Fabulous prizes will be awarded to all team members who participate, and we'll even have giveaways for selected audience members!

  • Potential Contestant: Indicate your interest in being a team member on one of the four competing teams!Contestants will be randomly selected on the day of the event and notified upon entry.
