This is the third quilt in Ruth’s Yankee series-started during baseball season. She started with the border which did not work on another quilt and worked with fabrics on her stash. All quilting designs were hand drawn before quilting. This award-winning quilt took about six months to complete. It is a COVID quilt, and most of the quilt is silk. This was a problem quilt - every section, it seemed, had a problem to solve. It has a handmade trim around the final silk border. It took a few hours of trying things before it worked.
