A selection of fabrics that have a mixing of the colors in your color scheme. Batiks, hand-dyes, and mottled fabrics work best.

Neutral color bobbin thread
Darning foot or free-motion foot
Black drawing ink
Pigma® pen, size 01
(6) Cardboard or foam core boards, 11" x 15". Katie uses the cardboard backs of her large drawing or watercolor pads.
Cakes or tubes of watercolor paint in your chosen color scheme. Katie prefers tubes of paint.
Plastic palette or plastic plate
(3) Watercolor pads, 9" x 12", 140 lb. or more
(3) Watercolor brushes, flat ¾", flat ½", and a fine, round brush
(2) Rolls masking tape, 1" beige
Foam core board large enough for design wall
Liquid bubbles with wand
Precut picture mat
