Scooter Rental

Scooters and wheelchairs will be available to rent from 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Wednesday through Friday, and from 8:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. on Saturday during AQS QuiltWeek – Grand Rapids 2023.


Rental Rates

  • Scooter: $80 per day, $150 for 2 days
  • Scooter Half-Day (Morning or Afternoon): $45 - Available from 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. or 12:00 - 4:00 p.m. (Saturday 12:00 - 3 p.m.)
  • Wheelchairs: $40 per day

Please call Alyssa Marsh at (270) 898-7903 x193 by September 7, 2023 to make a reservation. After September 7, rent your scooter at the AQS Information Center during QuiltWeek (while supplies last).

If you have a scooter reserved, stop at the AQS Information Center inside the Exhibit Hall to make payment, sign the paperwork, and pick up the key. When making a reservation, if the scooter is not picked up within an hour of your arrival time, your scooter will no longer be held and will become available for others.

Scooters should be returned one hour prior to the show closing each day (4:00 p.m. on Wed., Thurs., and Fri., and 3:00 p.m. on Sat). You will need to return the key to the AQS Information Center.


Quilt AppraisalsQuilt Appraisals

Quilt Appraisals

AQS Certified Quilt Appraisers will appraise new or antique/vintage quilts for insurance replacement, or for sale or donation purposes.

No appointment is necessary, but you can contact Bonnie Browning at 270-898-7903, ext. 146 or bonnie.browning@americanquilter.com to schedule a day and time.

Walk-in appraisals for AQS QuiltWeek – Grand Rapids, MI 2023 will be held Thursday and Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Appraisal Fee: $75 per quilt, payable at the AQS Information Center prior to the appraisal.
You’ll receive your written appraisal no later than 30 days after the close of the show.

DASH the Downtown Area Shuttle

The Downtown Area Shuttle, or DASH, is a system of small buses connecting key downtown Grand Rapids locations and parking lots. DASH is free to ride and provides residents, workers and visitors convenient connections to all parts of the core of downtown Grand Rapids. This service is made possible by the City of Grand Rapids and operated by The Rapid.

Wednesday – Friday: 7:00 a.m. – 12 a.m.

Saturday: 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 a.m.

Sunday: 11:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Local Charity

West Michigan Quilters' GuildWest Michigan Quilters' Guild

At each show, the American Quilter’s Society partners with the local quilt guild and charitable groups to help make the public aware of their contribution.

WMQG Neonatal Quilt Project benefitting the NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit) a tHelen DeVos Children's Hospital in Grand Rapids. The West Michigan Quilters' Guild donates quilts to the babies that are in the NICU. The families are able to choose their quilt and they keep it when the baby comes home.
