An Evening with Nancy Roelfsema: Why We Quilt, #NANCY
When you drill down to the core, quilting is love. We quilt to keep people warm. We cover our loved ones in fabric hugs. We fill our homes with inspiring colors. We share love when we gift a quilt or donate quilts to charity. Travel along with Nancy as she navigates through her history as a quilter. Her mother’s artistic talent took root in Nancy as a love for fabric and quilt design. Her trunk show features examples from throughout her quilting career and illustrates her design skills. Why do you quilt? Supplies are not required for a lecture, although you may want to bring a pen and paper to take notes.

Using Electric Quilt, designing a medallion style quilt has hundreds of options, from complicated appliqué or piecing, to simplified border designs. Join Nancy as she shows you many of the design options that will make your next medallion quilt truly spectacular.

EQ8: Designing with Custom Sets, #19503
A custom set quilt layout gives you a “blank canvas” on which to set your blocks. In other words, your blocks do not pop into pre-determined spaces like they do in the other quilt layouts. This means that a custom set layout takes more time to set up, but the flexibility in design is worth the extra effort! In this class, you will learn how to create quilts with your orphan blocks and how to create interesting t-shirt quilts all in a custom set. You will learn while working on your laptop as Nancy takes you through all you need to really get started and be ready to start creating your quilt.
