Ruler work on the home machine will be covered in this informative workshop. Work on practice sandwiches, learn to stitch perfect straight lines and easy circle shapes that can be incorporated on your own quilt projects. Kit will include Sue Nickels Straight Line Ruler, practice sandwiches and thread. Ruler work is fun and easy!

Have fun playing with rulers to achieve easy curves and straight lines. This approach will open the doors to many new options for free-motion work on the home machine. Sue will start with basic concepts, then continue with cool and creative ideas! Traditional free motion quilting will be added after ruler work is complete. Students will work on a small 18” x 18” project provided in a kit. Join in on the fun in this relaxed and informative workshop.

Students will learn to machine quilt using rulers on the home sewing machine. Start with straight line framework and continue with circles and arcs. Complement your ruler work with feathers and fillers. A kit will be provided for learning to machine quilt using rulers. This kit will include a small project, thread and rulers. Sue has developed rulers specific for this project. Kit fee $80.00 (rulers are $60.00 special price for class, marked and basted project and thread are $20.00) Please note- students should have some knowledge of free motion to take this class.
