This is a technique workshop to master the Edged Wedge Star block using the Wedge Star™ Tool, Edged Wedge Technique Sheet, and methods from Studio 180 Design. In this workshop, you will learn how to use this specialized tool to create the Edged Wedge Star block, layout options, and many tips and tricks for precision piecing. Depending on your speed of sewing, you should be able to complete one or two blocks in class.

This is a technique workshop to master the Curvy Log Cabin block, a modern twist to a traditional block. A great block that adds a curvy illusion to your quilts without piecing curves! During the workshop you will utilize a technique developed by Deb Tucker from Studio 180 Design. This strip piecing and trim-to-perfection technique utilizes the Tucker Trimmer III™ Tool and the Curvy Log Cabin Technique Sheet. These allow all quilters to achieve precision in their Curvy Log Cabin Blocks. Quilters will create two 7” Scrappy Curvy Log Cabin Blocks.

Ellie’s blooms is designed by Lynn and inspired by the ‘blooming personality’ of her granddaughter Ellie. This is a modern traditional quilt that combines the traditional piecing methods of Studio 180 Design and the curved piecing methods from Sew Kind of Wonderful. This design utilizes the Tucker Trimmer I™ tool from Studio 180 Design and the Wonder Curve™ from Sew Kind of Wonderful. In the workshop you will master the use of both specialized tools and learn many tips and tricks for curved and precision piecing. Registration for this workshop includes show admission for Friday.

• Lynn teaches you the No Stress/No Pins curved piecing methods developed by Jenny and Helen of Sew Kind of Wonderful utilizing their Wonder Curve™ Ruler.
• This is a great opportunity to use up some of your stash fabrics while trying a new technique or brushing up on your curved piecing skills.
• This workshop includes step-by-step instructions to create the individual curved units, assembly techniques, and tips and tricks to allow you to complete the Wonder Flutter Runner project that is included with the ruler instructions.

Lynn shares her lessons learned from 40+ years of quilting. These tips cover start to finish in the quilting process. Lynn specializes in “Why Things Work.” She has found that this helps the quilter connect with the design, tool, or process. The quilter is encouraged to bring their questions, general or specific, like:

• Why do I need to do this?
• What does this mean?
• Why did I buy this tool?

Lunch will be provided for you. There will be options to choose from during registration. Lecture will start at noon once meals have been given out.
