Baltimore Album: Fragrant Flowers, #253101w
Fragrant Flowers in Blue Urn - 18" Baltimore Album Style block or wallhanging. Take a day and learn successful and beautiful "no fail" appliqué with Kathy. Her workshops always guarantee success. You may use any technique for this workshop, but if you are a beginner or just wanting to learn a great method, then prepared appliqué with a leave-in foundation product is just right for you! Embellishments galore! Lots of tricks and easy techniques that lead to an awe-inspiring finished block. With Kathy's guidance and hands-on teaching style, we'll have a fun gathering!

Bloom Where You are Planted, #251805
Join Kathy as she delights you with stories from her quilt journey, all while letting you enjoy the quilts of her labor. When you have to "bloom where you are planted" (Kathy's motto) there are bound to be some thorns among the roses. Kathy loves a good audience and center stage. She doesn't disappoint with lots of eye candy and belly laughs.
Supplies are not required for a lecture, although you may want to bring a pen and paper to take notes.
Bluebirds of Happiness, #253503
You will delight in Kathy’s simple, yet masterful, ways to make gorgeous appliqué quits! Kathy's 22" wallhanging features her "No Fail" appliqué methods. This pattern lends itself to even more blooms and foliage and can stand alone as a wallhanging or make a whole quilt with additional blocks. The kit will have fabrics to make red birds and/or bluebirds! This workshop features a fun, creative process and uses prepared edge techniques but, you can use any appliqué method. Don't be afraid to jump right in, as there will be no limit to what you can appliqué after this workshop with Kathy!
Elly's Hanging Basket, #253502
This exquisite block was only found in one of the Baltimore Album quilts from the 1850’s before the Civil War. This workshop is taught with the blessing of Elly Sienkiewicz who reproduced this block in drawing, allowing Kathy to be the first to render it in fabric. Learn about the Baltimore Album quilts and delight in this unique block. Learn or perfect “prepared edge” applique or “needleturn” applique and be amazed by the ease the wired silk ribbons can be fashioned into gorgeous roses and buds. Kathy covers machine tips as well in case you want to mix techniques. What a fun workshop we will have together!

Tropical bird on broderie perseliqué bush – wow, won’t you just love these tropical colors and the ease in which this project will come together? Luscious foliage and a beautiful bird made with an easily prepared edge technique, then sewn by hand or machine later. The workshop will be spent learning Kathy’s broderie perse technique which simplifies the process. If you’ve tried broderie perse before and didn’t like the results, have no fear, you’ll master it with this workshop.
