A retired elementary school teacher, he now uses his teaching expertise to share a wide variety of quilting skills at guilds, shops, and festivals.

Use simple piecing techniques to create dramatic 6 pointed stars. Build strip sets, cut into squares, cut squares on the diagonal, match up alternating half-square triangles, cut hexagon pieces from the new squares and use the trimmed off portions to make a border. This project employs a variety of basic sewing techniques to achieve a stunning result. All of the techniques will be a useful addition to your sewing repertoire.
