In the 3-hour workshop, we will make the Star in a Star center. You will have a handout to help you complete the quilt at home.

Modern Log Cabin, #357515
Make a traditional quilt block, the Log Cabin, in a non-traditional way. Use free-form cutting to control the look and design of the quilt blocks. Decisions on the next color and strip size/shape are made as the block is built. No need to have a plan; in fact, you will be more creative without one! Just pick a strip and sew! Marge covers free-form cutting, liberated sewing, or sew-as-you-go, as well as design and composition.

Scrap Bash: Diamond Romance, #357504
Fall in love with diamonds! Let’s use up all those leftover strips and strings from previous projects and turn them into a fantastic quilt! Improvisationally pieced rectangles make light and dark diamonds when placed together. This results in a visually graphic layout and with very little cutting and prep so we can get right to the fun. In this half-day workshop, you’ll learn the technique of string piecing rectangles while making (4-8) blocks in the workshop. This could be your new favorite scrap quilt!
